Linda was born in East Java, Indonesia. Her family has art in their genes. Her parents were a good musicians and several of her brothers and sisters have dual talents in creative drawing skills as well as music.
Since leaving school she has worked in various industries, from education to survey companies and advertising.
When Linda first came to Noosa in 2002, she had nothing but rudimentary ideas about painting and drawing, she just played tennis and golf. She has always appreciated the visual arts by visiting galleries whenever she visits and has been lucky enough to have been to some of the world’s greatest art galleries.
12 years ago when she was unable to walk or play sport for 3 months owing to a back injury, a girlfriend suggested that she take up painting.
So Linda started painting in watercolour at home using a book she borrowed from a friend. Since then she has learned new skills by attending workshops with Jenni Herde, Jenny Kelly, John Newman , Froyle Neideck, and others.
Her artworks inspired by the visual arts experienced on her travels. Her paintings have been displayed in many of the coastal galleries including Wallace House, Banana Shed at Pomona Railway Gallery and Butter Factory Cooroy. She has participated in Noosa Open Studio for last 4 years and sold more than 20 paintings.
